A 1920s Inspired Outdoor Wedding | Larmer Tree Gardens, Wiltshire | Holly & Ian
Holly & Ian had an outdoor wedding at the Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire. The Larmer Tree Gardens were the first private gardens open for public enjoyment in the UK. They were open in 1880 as pleasure grounds for public enlightenment & entertainment and it is lovely that many years later couples celebrate their wedding in the gardens.
The celebrations began with a formal garden party; guests gathered outside the Roman Temple waiting for the ceremony to begin.
It was lovely to see Ian's smiling face as he saw Holly walking with her mum across the lawn and down the aisle to the Roman Temple, where their ceremony took place. Holly & Ian were beaming all day and laughing hard during the speeches.
I loved Holly's low back vintage inspired wedding dress; If you look closely you can see the diamond detail on the back of the dress, which matched her sparkly shoes! The boys looked dapper in their tuxedos and Holly's Bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their mix and match blue bridesmaid dresses.
A Gypsy Jazz Band played on the Victorian Singing Theatre stage, during the drinks reception; Guests ate canapés, sipped champagne and played garden games before the speeches; where everyone pulled up a deckchair in front of the Indian Room.
We have become quite attached to the Peacocks at the Larmer Tree Gardens, who are very curious and always manage to become a part of the celebrations!
