A Humanist Handfasting Wedding in Somerset | Huntstile Organic Farm | Sarah & Matt
"Thank you so much for all the hard work you've put in to creating such perfect images and giving us a treasure chest of memories that we can keep forever.
Everyone who has seen the photos so far has remarked on how beautiful they are, so thank you again for the amazing pictures and for spending so much time documenting our day."
Sarah & Matt planned a homely wedding with a country fair feel, which they shared with their family & friends. Their wedding was full of beaming smiles, lots of laughter & cake, there was a lot of cake! With Sarah's love of the countryside & Matt's love of the outdoors (Matt is an avid surfer) having a Humanist ceremony at the stone circle at Huntstile Organic Farm was the perfect setting for them!
Guests who arrived at Huntstile farm in the morning were greeted by the goats; They gathered in the farm house before making their way to the hilltop stone circle, where the wedding ceremony took place, a tractor ride away!
It is hard to describe the view from the stone circle, you can see across Somerset to the Quantock hills, I will let the pictures do the talking! Sarah & Matt wrote their own vows to each other & Sarah got quite emotional reading them; there were tears & giggles throughout the ceremony. Matt & Sarah also chose to have a hand fasting ceremony, a pagan tradition where the couples hands our bound together with ribbon.
Sarah & Matt's day included a bake-off, where guests brought along many wonderful creations, which following the ceremony were judged by all! There was a coconut shy, a wildlife quiz & guess the number of sweeties in the jar, which everyone enjoyed. A guitarist played in the gardens in the evening and everyone danced along before making their way to the disco. The sun set over the farm and we left everyone to party the night away.
